Last week was a full-on week. We (Pauline and Julie) taught the children how to make fold-up marble butterfly (kipepeo). The paint was home-made using water, flour, food coloring and salt. Some of the children were very creative and they were fascinated with the results.
We taught them a new song “If you are happy and you know it, clap your hands”.
We celebrated Daima’s birthday yesterday. Pauline baked a yummy and moist carrot cake, fried some onion fritters and popped some corns for the celebration. It’s Tanzania culture to feed the birthday girl with the first piece of cake.
