Dear Sponsors,

We thank God for your support through sponsorship and prayers! Without God and your support, we would not be able to provide the assistance that Sekela and our children need. Please know that Sekela, our children and I continue to pray for you on a regular basis.

12402105_965146716906997_8707257323345597901_oThis year we have only six primary students who are undertaking English tuition at the center and with a new tutor. Simon is engaging well with Atusajile, Baraka, Dicksoni, Elizabeth, Emmanuel and Stela and vice versa. It’s a joy to see our children engaged in learning.

I am assisting the above students by being their reading Screen Shot 2016-02-29 at 7.58.08 AMtutor, they are progressing in varying degrees. Emmanuel at right is a keen reader and recently took four books home and then returned to the center to read them to me!

Screen Shot 2016-02-29 at 7.58.26 AMBirthday celebrations now occur once a month, for all children (and for Sekela and I) in the month our birthdays fall. In January we celebrated both Cairo and Elizabeth’s birthdays. Cairo is in form 1 at a private school and Elizabeth is in standard 6. Cairo desires to be a pastor and I shared with him verses 1 Timothy 1:12–20. Elizabeth’s career aspiration is to be a doctor and I shared with her Mary’s song from Luke 1:46 – 53.

For a birthday gift the children are either receiving a tracksuit or a dress or a skirt and top.

Screen Shot 2016-02-29 at 7.58.40 AMIn February we celebrated Elesia and Rehema’s birthdays. Both of these students are in Form 1 at a private school and aspire to be doctors. Elesia is a humble young women and I shared with her verses about humility. Rehema is a prayer warrior and I shared with her verses about prayer.

What a privilege to be a part of these precious children’s lives and to sow into them God’s Word and to raise them up to be godly young men and women. Thank you for the important part you have through prayers and sponsorship that continues to impact our children! We thank God for you!

12716254_982909118464090_8400685825938844992_oWe are so blessed to have Ronji and Bena with us, they are travelling missionaries who live in New Zealand and are descended from Samoa. They are familiar with working with young people and use activities, games, memory verses and songs to teach the Bible. They also use their culture to engage with the children.

We love having visitors and volunteers at the center! Please prayerfully consider coming to Tanzania and visiting us! Come and meet the child or children you are sponsoring, your life will be impacted!
