Blessings in Jesus!
We thank God for your support through sponsorship and prayers! Without God and your support, we would not be able to provide the assistance that Sekela and our children need. Please know that Sekela, our children and I continue to pray for you on a regular basis.
Last month we celebrated Dicksoni (13), Emmanuel (14), Yusufu (6) and Erin, one of our volunteer’s birthdays. Dicksoni and Emmanuel are both in standard 6 at primary school and are attending English tuition at the center. They love reading books in English and are keen to read to me. They are also attempting to translate for our volunteers when they come. Yusufu is progressing slowly and continues in a nursery school.
We celebrated a special birthday for Vaileth who turned 20 this month. Vaileth is currently in form 6 and is due to graduate in May. She desires to be a Christian journalist.
It’s always a joy to see the children develop academically, socially and spiritually.
We are thankful for God’s provision through all who sow into this ministry! We have been extremely blessed and humbled by Tanzanian Christians who have come to the center with practical gifts! A church group of 80 people were so keen to bless us that they all came one morning, bearing gifts!
An amazing opportunity has arisen for our children to have a CD recorded by a local Christian producer! Last Saturday 13 of our children attended a recording studio and had 3 songs recorded, that they learned last year for the outreach they participated in. This was their first time to be recorded and to have voice training. As I watched and prayed for them, I thank God, for the transformation in them, the confidence He has given them and the love they have for Jesus!
During the Easter weekend we had a reflective time focusing on prayer and an apt opportunity to wash the feet of Sekela and all the children who attended. We completed the weekend by sharing communion and remembering Jesus’ resurrection and that He is returning for His bride!
We covet your prayers for Sekela who has been unwell since October last year, she has an enlarged stomach that is increasing. Unfortunately the hospitals she has attended have not been able to diagnosis the reason for her enlarged stomach. We are trying to encourage her to attend a private hospital outside of Mbeya. Please pray for Sekela’s complete healing and restoration in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
We are thankful to our volunteers and visitors to come to the center! Please prayerfully consider coming to Tanzania and visiting us! Come and meet the child or children you are sponsoring, your life will be impacted!
Last month we farewelled Ronji and Bena, who blessed us by their stay of one month! Sekela, our children and I loved Ronji and Bena, for their fun, creativity and their ability to teach Biblical truths through activities, song and dance and from the Bible. Erin from Hawaii arrived a couple of days before Ronji and Bena left. Erin stayed for two and half weeks and taught the children games, arts and crafts, songs and Bible stories. A visual reminder of Erin coming is the transformation she completed of our multi-purpose room! Recently a friend of mine from New Zealand, Joanna, came for 8 days. Joanna is an intercessor and prayed with Sekela and our children individually. Joanna brought us a flag of New Zealand and this will be a reminder to pray for New Zealand, the volunteers who have come from New Zealand and their families. Please remember to bring a flag of your country when you visit us at the center!
What a privilege to be a part of these precious children’s lives and to sow into them God’s Word and to raise them up to be godly young men and women. Thank you for the important part you have through prayers and sponsorship that continues to impact our children! We thank God for you!
With sincerest thanks and much love in Him
