Dear Sponsors,
Blessings in Jesus!
We are extremely thankful to all our sponsors, for your support through finance and prayers! Please know that we do not take for granted, the financial sacrifice many of you make to support our children, Sekela and the center. You are regularly in our prayers and we pray and trust that God will provide for your needs. Please know that your support is having an impact on our children, their families, our neighbourhood and the wider community of Tanzania, not only for now but also for eternity!
This year our children are receiving new clothing for their birthday gifts. We thank God for sponsors who gave clothes to Henry and Darlene previously and some of these clothes are what our children will be receiving for their birthdays.
We celebrated Cairo and Elizabeth’s birthday party at the beginning of February. Atusajile and Baraka learned how to bake a cake and had a go at icing the cake. Our children had fun playing different games!
Aside from receiving clothing for birthday gifts and/or Christmas gifts, throughout the year our children also receive preloved clothing from sponsors, team members, visitors or Tanzanians. Like any child, our children love receiving a gift and especially when it’s clothing! Here they are sporting their jackets!
We sincerely appreciate and are so thankful for sponsors who love giving our children gifts! If you are able to bring your gift to Tanzania, we would love to meet you! However, from a practical viewpoint and to utilise resources well, our preference is for an online donation to be made and in the note section, you can specify the purpose of the donation and how you would like it spent. As we are a part of the local community here in Tanzania, we want to be a blessing to the community and to support local businesses. Thank you so much for the blessing that you are to Sekela and our children! God bless you!
Enea our social worker/nurse is providing lessons on health-related issues once a month, to our children. The last lesson was on personal hygiene. While the session started very seriously, it ended in fits of laughter!
Thank you for your prayers, Daudi and Ruteli (at left), are transitioning into
the center relatively well. Ruteli is a precious sweetheart; it’s a joy to see her
pray with fervency. Please continue to pray for these two precious children
and their transition into the center.
We thank you for your prayers! Please know that we also pray for you too, on a regular basis!
We thank God for our students’, who are studying at Ulambya Secondary school, particularly our students who only joined form one in January 2018. Elizabeth and Emmanuel (at right), in particular are doing amazing well! Elizabeth obtained 5 A’s in January exams and attained a position of 4 out of 45 students. Emmanuel obtained 4 A’s and attained a position of 7 out of 45 students.
Elizabeth (at left) aspires to be a doctor! She understands well that she needs to perform well in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in order for her to study to be a doctor. Praise God, Elizabeth has been given the chance to board at school and an opportunity to be extremely focused on her studies. Please pray for Elizabeth that she will be able to reach her future
goal to be a doctor!
We thank God for all our children, that we have the privilege of mentoring and caring for. We thank God for your partnership through prayers and sponsorship, which enable our children to have opportunities they would not otherwise have. Sekela, our children and I would love to meet you! Please prayerfully consider coming to Tanzania and visiting us!
