“I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will
glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me;
let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:1-3
Dear Sponsors
Blessings in Jesus!
We are extremely thankful to all our sponsors, for your support through finance and prayers! Please
know that we do not take for granted, the financial sacrifice many of you make to support our
children, Sekela and the center. You are regularly in our prayers and we pray and trust that God will
provide for your needs. Please know that your support is having an impact on our children, their
families, our neighbourhood and the wider community of Tanzania, not only for now but also for
eternity!
Last month we celebrated the precious lives of Nelsoni (6) and Sarafina (18). Nelsoni is in first
year of primary school. He has a healthy appetite and is growing taller. He is an adorable boy,who can be mischievous with the other younger boys at the center. Sarafina is currently undertaking tuition and we are waiting on the government to confirm, which secondary school she will be attending from July 2018. She will start form five or fifth year of secondary school.
Her career aspiration is to be a doctor.
Praise God for your sponsorship that allows our children to have healthy and nutritious food on a
weekly basis. Their diet is a stark contrast to other children in the neighbourhood and of children at
other orphan centers. On a weekly basis when our children come to the center they will have fruit, different kinds of vegetables, rice, noodles, meat, fish, chicken, potatoes or magimbi (a starch
vegetable) or cooked green bananas; sometimes they will have bread and once a month plain
yoghurt, which is a special treat for them. At birthday party celebrations our children are blessed to
have special treats such as chapati, donuts, sambusa, a soda drink, birthday cake and lollies!
Normally Tanzanians do not celebrate their birthdays but our children love having a birthday party
that celebrates them. We often receive comments from Tanzanians that our children, don’t look like
orphans! Praise God for His provision through you, that enables our children to be very healthy and
to develop well!
It continues to amaze us the impact your prayer and financial support has on the lives of our
children! Elina, is nearing the completion of her sewing course and God willing will be able to join a
local sewing business with other seamstresses. In the last three months we have seen a
transformation in Elina, she has not only increased in her ability to sew but has gained a confidence
and a belief in herself. We thank God for the sponsor who specifically requested to support Elina,
although she had already left the center. Normally once our children leave the center, they are no
longer supported by the center. Please pray for this young woman and her future as a seamstress.
We thank God for all our children, that we have the privilege of mentoring and caring for. We thank
God for your partnership through prayers and sponsorship, which enable our children to have
opportunities they would not otherwise have. Sekela, our children and I would love to meet you!
Please prayerfully consider coming to Tanzania and visiting us!
With sincerest gratitude and blessings
