Dear Sponsors

Blessings in Jesus!

We are extremely thankful to all our sponsors, for your support through finance and prayers!
Please know that we do not take for granted, the financial sacrifice many of you make to support
our children, Sekela and the center. You are regularly in our prayers and we pray and trust that God will provide for your needs. Your support is having an impact on our children, their families, our neighbourhood and the wider community of Tanzania, not only for now but also for eternity!

A very warm welcome to our new sponsors who have started sponsoring from this month!

We celebrated the birthdays of Ericki (12), Skola (11) and Stela (15) and were delighted that their grandmothers came to join in the celebrations!

As per our tradition our other children shared Scripture verses or sung a song. It was an amazing birthday party as we had five of our children singing solo, with us joining in; a trio singing a song and Sekela singing in her tribal language! We thank God for our children who are continuing to develop in confidence. Truly we have witnessed a remarkable transformation in our children, from four years ago when they were shy and reticent!

Please feel free to watch and listen to the videos of our children and Sekela singing. Please note the videos are in Kiswahili except for Sekela’s video, which is in Kinyakusa. Although you may not be able to understand what they are singing but you can witness Sekela and our children worshipping Jesus and also seeing the confidence they are gaining. The photos below are of all our children and Sekela who sung but these photos were taken in May 2014! From left to right: Nelsoni, Isaya, Neema, Yusufu, Elizabeth, Rehema, Sarafina, Sikujua and Sekela.

We have updated our website www.naomiruth.org with up-to-date photos and details about our children. Please review the details of the child or children you are sponsoring under https://naomiruth.org/the-children/ and selecting their name or names as applicable.

While our primary focus is to support Sekela and our children, we also believe we are to impact the community that we are a part of. We desire to be a blessing, not only practically but also spiritually. Previously we have provided small bags of rice to our neighbours and new dresses donated by sponsors to the little girls in our neighbourhood. On several occasions we have partnered with a local church and undertaken house to house evangelism. We are extremely thankful to sponsors who have agreed to assist the local government office with providing desks and chairs, paint and painting of their dispensary and office. Our orphan center is in the ‘street’ (suburb) of the local government office and the executive team
are extremely thankful to the support their office and our community are receiving through our orphan center. God willing in the future we are hoping to provide support for a one day medical clinic.

We thank God for all our children, that we have the privilege of mentoring and
caring for. Sekela, our children and I would love to meet you!  Please prayerfully consider coming to Tanzania and visiting us!

On behalf of Sekela and our children they have a brief message for all our sponsors at https://vimeo.com/283311096.

With sincerest gratitude and blessings
