“Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name. Make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.”

Dear Sponsors

Blessings in Jesus!

We are extremely thankful to all our sponsors, for your support through finance and prayers! Please know that we do not take for granted, the financial sacrifice many of you make to support our children,  Sekela and the center. You are regularly in our prayers and we pray and trust that God will provide for your needs. Your support is having an impact on our children, their families, our neighbourhood and the wider community of Tanzania, not only for now but also for eternity!

We thank God for one of our sponsors who came from New Zealand, to visit the child that her, her husband and son sponsor! It was such a blessing to have Jan with us for 10 days. Sekela and our children really warmed to Jan’s love of them, her humble nature and her soft heart! Jan loved spending time with her sponsored child, Neema! Neema’s grandparents and one of her brother’s came to express their heartfelt gratitude towards Jan, her husband Craig and their son Nik, for their sponsorship of Neema and for Jan coming to Tanzania!

While Jan was with us we had a birthday celebration for Neema (9) and Ibrahim (8)! Joining in our celebrations were Neema’s grandparents, Neema’s older brother and Ibrahim’s aunt. Neema was blessed to receive clothes brought by Jan from New Zealand. In addition she received a gift from the center from all her sponsors. Ibrahim too was blessed to receive extra gifts from his sponsors in Hawaii, a pre-school and also a gift from the center from all his sponsors.

Currently all our secondary school students attend Ulambya High School, a private school. We are always thankful to the director of the school who pays the school fees for our ten students who are studying at his school. Last month Ulambya High School celebrated their 10th year anniversary and their form four students graduation. Elizabeth in form one, Kelvin in form six & Vaileth studying at university participated in the celebration; Kelvin gave a speech in English and Vaileth in Kiswahili; and Elizabeth and Kelvin presented the director with gifts of syllabus books for both ordinary and advanced level subjects. The books were a gift by one of our sponsors for this specific occasion.

We were so blessed by Vaileth (at left), visiting us during her vacation after completing two years of university studies. Vaileth is an amazing young woman who is beautiful inside and outside. She has a fear of God and
continues to trust in Him for her studies and her life! What a joy to see her develop in her relationship with Jesus! We thank God for the great role model
she is to all our other children! Vaileth has now returned to complete her third year of university studies.

Thank you for your prayers for our three students who completed their
primary school studies! Praise God Atusajile, Baraka & Stela (at right) all passed their standard seven exams and will proceed to secondary school in January next year! As we don’t have the ability to send them to Ulambya High School, where our other
secondary students attend, we are waiting on the government to assign them to government schools. Currently they are studying pre-form one tuition in preparation for joining form one next year.

We thank God for sponsors who specifically requested to assist the caregivers of our children! We recently held a meeting with the caregivers to discuss what support they will be provided with. The intention is to assist them with small business enterprise. Please pray for the success of this project and that the caregivers, predominantly widows, will know God’s love and care for them.
Thanking God for all our children, that we have the
privilege of mentoring and caring for. One of the questions our children sometimes asks “Can we meet our sponsors?” Sekela, our children and I would love to meet you! Please prayerfully consider coming to Tanzania and visiting the child you are sponsoring!
