Dear Sponsors
Blessings in Jesus!
We are extremely thankful to all our sponsors, for your support through finance and prayers! Please know that we do not take for granted, the financial sacrifice many of you make to support our children, Sekela and the center. You are regularly in our prayers and we pray and trust that God will provide for your needs. Your support is having an impact on our children, their families, our neighbourhood and the wider community of Tanzania, not only for now but also for eternity!
We were blessed in mid-October to receive two new girls to the center – Nuza (12) and Prisca (9)! They live with their uncle and aunt. The girls were extremely shy when they joined the center but are now developing in confidence and they are interacting well with our other children. We continue to thank Phillips Love Bears for the beautiful teddy bears our new children continue to receive. Written on the tags of the teddies in Kiswahili is “Mungu ni Pendo”, translated “God is love”. Thanking God for His love for these two precious girls.
Our children love playing games and by playing games, these were a great way for Nuza and Prisca to
participate and feel part of the center! How amazing to see God’s love transform the hearts of our children!
We started sewing new outfits for our children, as a gift
for Christmas and as a new uniform for next year! Here
is a sneak preview of a few of our boys and girls in their
new outfits! We are extremely thankful to the sponsor,
who has provided funds for us to buy the material and to
have the clothes sewn.
We thank God for sponsors who have a desire to bless
the caregivers of our children, with financial support for
their current income generating activities! The caregivers’ activities vary from carpentry, farming, to making hand woven mats, to selling rice and other produce, raising pigs or braiding hair. Before the project started last week, we provided the caregivers with a seminar on entrepreneurship. The financial support they will receive, will enable them to buy items needed for their current income generating activities. The intention is they will use the funds as capital, to enable them to expand their current projects.
It was an absolutely pleasure to witness the marriage of Isaka and
Faustina Sanga last month! Isaka had previously been part of the center and left nearly three years ago. His life is a testimony to God’s grace and mercy! Sometime after leaving the center and with Sekela encouraging Isaka, he gave his life to Christ and when Sekela was extremely sick two years ago, he returned to the center to see how he could assist Sekela and the center. What a joy to see a life transformed for God!
Thanking God for all our children, that we have the privilege of mentoring and caring for. Sekela, our children and I would love to meet you! Please prayerfully consider coming to Tanzania and visiting the child or children you are sponsoring!
