For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Romans 1:16

A tribute to Sekela, the caregiver of our children at the center. Last week she passed on after being sick for a few months. We celebrated Sekela’s life and we praise God that her spirit is now with Jesus!

We thank God for her life, lived to the glory of God! She was a passionate lover of Jesus, whose faith was so strong and unwavering right up until she took her last breath. She took every opportunity to share the gospel, irrespective of where she was and whom she was with. She was an evangelist, a prayer intercessor and a Bible teacher to our children.

We thank God for the ministry He gave her, for her giftings, for her sense of humour, her fun nature and for her love of people and especially for our children under our care. She was an amazing inspiration to our children, not only in faith but also spurring them on with their studies. She encouraged our children to strive for their dreams and to travel the world.

We thank God for the knowledge, wisdom and discernment He imparted to her. We thank God for her hospitality to one and all and for welcoming visitors from overseas.

We praise God for the legacy she has left us at the center. We will miss her dearly but we are thankful that she has gone to glory and she will wait for us in heaven.
